SESSION INFO

Dates for Band:

Winter session: 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/25, 3/6, 3/10, 3/17, 3/19 concert/recital 


Spring session: 3/24, 3/31, 4/7, 4/14, 4/28, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26, 6/9, 6/11 graduation and concert/recital

Private Lessons - $440 for 10 sessions

Band Class -  $150 for 10 sessions

Dennis can help you get a hold of a free or rented instrument through The Musary, or rentals from Leonards Music, and can bring the instruments to the band class next week. 

To sign up for lessons/ensemble class, pickup registration form from school, fill out and return with check for $590 for 10 sessions of lessons and band class. Lesson times will be determined between the student, parent, and the private teacher. Alternatively, you can pay by PayPal by sending payment to Dennis Shafer at shaferds@gmail.com

Dennis Shafer, Director: Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute

Dennis loves working with kids and making music FUN! He has a passion for music instills this in his students. Dennis has over 15 years experience teaching all ages and styles of music, and holds degrees at Longy of Bard College, Boulogne Conservatory (France), The Boston Conservatory, and Brooklyn College. He feels it is important to organize performances for his students. His students have performed in many venues from Harvard Square to Carnegie Hall.

Allison Damon, Teaching Artist: Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba

Allison finds great joy in helping her students learn music they are excited about! She holds degrees from the Longy School of Music and Seattle Pacific University and has taught a variety of brass students- from beginners who want to learn “Baby Shark” to advanced high school students playing in indie rock bands and preparing for auditions. She is excited to guide you in your journey of musical self-discovery.
